Deanna Freund
Deanna has been the
Director of Music at Shepherd of the Hills
for over 14 years. Besides being our director, Deanna is also our
pianist, organist and accompanies all groups. Deanna received her
Bachelors of Music Performance from Wichita State
University.
She has a Masters of Music from Arizona State
University.
When Deanna joined the staff in 1003, there was one choir of about 14
people. Today, the Faith Singers (adult choir) has over 34
members
and welcomes all that want to praise God in song. Danna has also
developed the handbell program. There is an inter-generational
bell choir
and two bell quartets. A Praise team has also been developed and
been in
place for ten years. This group is an auditioned chorus with a
professional
combo of musicians accompanying them.
The music ministry at Shepherd of the Hills presents two Cantatas each
year. The choirs provide music each week at the Sunday services
from
September to May.
This is an exciting place to be musically. We have a great pool
of talent
to work with and employ a wide range of musical genres.
