Have you been baptized?
Baptism is one of the profound ways that God touches our lives. Baptism is a sacrament; God’s word and the element of water are used to proclaim in a tangible way God’s free gifts of grace and forgiveness. Baptism assures us that we are a child of God by trusting in God’s promises. If you have not been baptized or would like or to have your child baptized contact Julia or Pastor Jeff to make the next step toward God’s love and mercy in your faith journey.

Youth Director
Mick McGrath
and his wife, Andrea
Mick grew up in Bismarck, ND. As a result, he is a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan but also enjoys reading, playing guitar, restoring classic cars, and water/snow skiing. Mick was blessed with a strong youth group program in high school. While attending the University of Mary, Mick felt a calling to assist in youth ministry and began volunteering with the group, along with hosting weekly worship nights at the university. After completing his undergraduate degree in 2013, Mick moved to Arizona to attend A.T. Still University’s physical therapy school. He met his wife Andrea in 2014 and made Arizona his permanent home after graduating in 2016. During graduate school, Mick continued in his passion for volunteering with youth ministry, assisting with the Ignite high school youth group here at Shepherd of the Hills, and returned in fall 2018 as Youth Director for the junior high and high school ministries.

What We Believe
Shepherd of the Hills is a Bible believing church that stands
on the timeless truth of God’s Word.
Our roots are Lutheran but  our spirit is decidedly Evangelical.
We are welcoming of the Holy Spirit and
passionate about growing deeper in our relationship with Jesus.
We are a congregation seeking the love of God
in an authentic experience of Christian community.

We believe in the poweof God
to change people’s lives and change the world.
Several passages of scripture have been
especially significant in our faith journey as a congregation.
Key Scriptures are:
John 3:16-17: The Great Promise
Matthew 22:37-39: The Great Commandment
Matthew 28:19-20: The Great Commission
II Corinthians 5:17: The Promise of Transformation
Romans 12:2: The Promise of a Renewed Life

Our Vision

Shepherd of the Hills
is a light on the hill
where God’s Word is alive;
as His love and grace are shared
by His disciples.

Mission Statement

Share the Good News
of Christ’s love
with all people.

Statement of Faith

We believe in the Triune God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testament
are the inspired word of God
and are the authority for all matters of faith and life.
We believe that salvation is only possible through a personal relationship
    of faith in Jesus Christ.
We confess our faith in the words of the Apostle’s Creed.
We celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion.
