Card Care Ministry
Though this is a small ministry, the women of WinGS have already sent nearly two dozen hand written post cards to women inmates. We write the cards and the people at Amazing Grace Church in Phoenix address them and get the card of encouragement to just the right person, at just the right time.  We have also started to write greeting cards and letters to our servicemen listed in the church bulletin. Those cards will be given directly to the family member of the serviceman, after we pray over them. If you can write, you too can encourage someone with God’s love on a card.
Call Judy Konop (480-848-7220) to get cards and be part of this ministry.
Secret Sisters in Prayer is a one year gift of praying for another woman. You commit to pray for the sister whose name you draw and someone will draw your name and pray for you. It is first and foremost an offering of prayers to God for another. Some women remember their Secret Sister on holidays or their birthday with a card or a gift.

Other ways to participate in the music ministry are by lending your talents for general preparation and large events. We sometimes need gifted actors and readers for our presentations or help in preparations from filing and stocking folders to publicity releases and posters for large events. The music ministry enriches the congregations’ worship every Sunday. The music ministers find their personal relationship with God and their worship experience greatly enhanced by their participation as well as an increased sense of fellowship.

Secret Sisters in Prayer is a one year gift of praying for another woman in our church. We draw a name once a year. You commit to pray for the sister whose name you draw and someone will draw your name and pray for you.
It is first and foremost an offering of prayers to God for another. Some women remember their Secret Sister on holidays or their birthday with a card or a gift. There is a Secret Sister table in the narthex where we place our gifts/cards or you can anonymously mail them. We do have winter visitors participate as well. Prayer can cover across the miles.
Secret Sisters
in Prayer
Secret Sisters in Prayer is a powerful opportunity to bring us close to God and each other as we bear one another’s burdens and share each other’s joys.
The Bible tells us
in Luke 11:1
“One day Jesus
was praying
in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said
to him,“Lord, teach us
to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”
Prayer Walk
Our prayer walk is designed to provide a place of solitude in the midst of God’s beauty.  We have used the prayer Jesus gave his disciples in Matthew 6:9-13, the Lord’s Prayer, as the focus for our prayer walk.
As you walk the path you will see signs with the verses of the Lord’s Prayer to stimulate your personal meditation. We hope it will be a time of meditation and reflection for you. The walk begins on the lower level on the east side by the church office. Benches are provided along the path as well as a drinking fountain (at stop #4). The Prayer Walk ends at the Heritage Garden. The entire walk is about one third of a mile if you return to the point where you begin.
In his book “Draw the Circle”, Mark Batterson calls us to draw a circle around what we want to pray for. This path provides the opportunity for us to circle our church in prayer. We invite you to join in this walk.
