Examples of topics often asked by youth include:

Is what the Bible says about me true?
If people wrote the Bible, why do we call it God’s word?
What is the point of going to church?
Why is the Bible so hard to understand?
What’s so bad about Ouija boards, magic, and fortunetellers?

Youth Director
Mick McGrath
and his wife, Andrea
Mick grew up in Bismarck, ND. As a result, he is a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan but also enjoys reading, playing guitar, restoring classic cars, and water/snow skiing. Mick was blessed with a strong youth group program in high school. While attending the University of Mary, Mick felt a calling to assist in youth ministry and began volunteering with the group, along with hosting weekly worship nights at the university. After completing his undergraduate degree in 2013, Mick moved to Arizona to attend A.T. Still University’s physical therapy school. He met his wife Andrea in 2014 and made Arizona his permanent home after graduating in 2016. During graduate school, Mick continued in his passion for volunteering with youth ministry, assisting with the Ignite high school youth group here at Shepherd of the Hills, and returned in fall 2018 as Youth Director for the junior high and high school ministries.
